Training Style
During this programme, the students will be engaged by experienced Code.Hub educators to familiarize themselves with modern software engineering approaches, form groups and discuss the requirements of a real project. Hands-on exercises unveil their abilities and hone their skills, and boosts their self-confidence in solving problems.
They are encouraged to think critically, provide ideas and actively engage in the development process. The Code.Hub educators provide students with the essential theoretical framework that they need, guide them through the project development process, and suggest useful programming tools and methods. The students will deliver individual and group projects that they have worked on, and prepare an overview of their work which they will present to their peers.
Who Should Attend
Students of ages between thirteen (13) and seventeen (17) years old.

Dr. Ioannis G. Nikolakopoulos is a Dipl. Electrical & Computer Engineer of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), where he studied between 2001 and 2006. In 2008 he received his Masters in Engineering under the program “Technology - Economic Systems”, from the NTUA and his specialization is Management of engineering systems. In 2010 he received his Ph.D. in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the NTUA as well as the diploma of Civil Engineering. He has authored many research articles in international journals, conferences and books and has participated in a wide range of well-known EU research projects. Dr. Nikolakopoulos is the Co-Founder of Code.Hub and the Academic Director of studies being offered by the University of Sheffield in Athens at Athens Tech College and has extensive teaching experience in many institutions. Dr Nikolakopoulos is an Honorary lecturer at the University of Sheffield and his expertise lies in the fields of Software Engineering, Business Intelligence, Big Data, Programming, Managing Knowledge Driven ICT Projects, Operating Systems, Data Modeling and Advanced Database Systems.
Dimitrios Iracleous is a qualified Electrical & Computer Engineer, graduate of the Polytechnic School of Patras University. He has also received his PhD in the field of Automatic Control in Power Systems from the same university. Furthermore, he has a post graduate diploma in Teaching in Higher Education from the University of Hertfordshire. Since 2000, he worked in various projects in the area of document management systems, big data analysis in health and industry as Analyst and Lead Software Developer in various companies and Institutions such as Atcom SA, Nomotelia EPE, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, National Technical University of Athens, I-Know-How SA, Code.Hub. In addition, Dr. Iracleous has taught to many public and private Higher Education Institutes, like Athens University of Economics and Business (former ASOE), Hellenic Army Academy (Stratiotiki Scholi Evelpidon), University of Hertfordshire in Athens campus. His research interests include Modelling of Networked and Distributed Systems, Business Intelligence, Big Data, Machine Learning, Software Engineering. He is a fellow of Higher Education Academy.
Mr. Vassileios L. Velkos holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) as a Mechanical Engineer and a Master in HR Management from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, and he is also a Systemic Researcher using Programming from the University of Piraeus. He can look back on a 12-year experience in recruiting quality personnel, and over the last 7 years, he has specialized in the field of IT in accordance with the motto ‘The right person for the right position’. He implemented the liason between Silicon Valley start ups and the Greek market and he has already accomplished more than 15 recruitment success stories of the biggest brands in Greece. Vasileios has managed more than 27,000 IT candidates and has set up staff search services for large multinational companies across Europe. He has created the first SW Development community in Greece and he already collaborating with more than 75% of the Tech companies in the country. He holds the position of Head IT Code.Career Recruitment Consultant and Business Leader, with the aim of directing new candidates to the job that best suits their qualifications and aspirations. He also organizes numerous events and trainings for Developers and Programmers and has created Code. Hub, the first Hub and Academy for Developers in Greece.
