Reskilling and Upskilling: Harnessing Power Skills to Create Success in the Workplace

Acquiring and cultivating Power Skills (Soft Skills) is an integral part of doing business and achieving success. Recognising the interrelation between different departments and divisions and the dependence on internal procedures applied by people coming from different backgrounds, different characters and different needs is the first step towards creating a culture of acceptance and growth.
Living in the AI era, equips managers and department heads with many tools and helps them ensure that their organisations run smoothly by tracking potential problems and deviations and preventing them from occurring. However, human behaviour is not as predictable and technological systems cannot provide solutions that fit all.
Reskilling and upskilling an organisation’s human force can lead to more successful outcomes through the enhancement of adaptability, problem-solving and teamwork. Considering that power skills can affect the overall success of the person/organisation by 85% whereas hard skills and knowledge have a 15% contribution, it becomes clear that the future of business relies heavily on people’s ability to communicate, adapt, collaborate and lead.
This webinar is important in terms of emphasising the need for department heads and managers to realise their impact – as people and roles – on their peers. It is common that people fear change and demonstrate resistance. Identifying the origins of resistance will help create an environment conducive to learning and managing change, providing the team with the ability to effectively solve problems and maximise positive outcomes.
The aim is to empower participants through the acquisition of knowledge and the provision of a human-centred mind frame.
