Institutional Investors: Corporate governance due diligence as part of your investment appraisal
When appraising investments many factors must be considered including the existence of good corporate governance practices that can help companies operate more efficiently, improve access to capital, mitigate risk and safeguard against mismanagement. Good CG makes companies more accountable and transparent to investors and gives them the tools to respond to stakeholder concerns. During this lecture participants will be presented with the tools needed for an efficient approach and due diligence procedures when appraising investments.

Alexis Kyprianou
Alexis is an expert in negotiation who has devoted a significant part of his 25 year career to business development in telecom, media and IT environments, through mergers and acquisitions and business performance improvement, notably working for British Telecom and Vivendi Universal (owner of telecom operators in France, Morocco, Poland and Monaco). He has lived and worked in 6 countries during this period.
Alexis has held several board directorships in the US, in France and the UK, giving him valuable exposure to the impacts of corporate culture and stakeholder pressures on corporate decisions and strategies.
In 2010, Alexis established himself as an expert advisor and trainer in negotiation and influencing techniques, notably to business development professionals in large multinational organisations across Europe, including France Telecom, the Luxembourg Post & Telecoms group, and Ingenico.
His work directly improves revenue recurrence and growth for his clients, as well as improving his clients’ relationships with their business counterparties.
Alexis also regularly runs workshops and lectures in negotiation and influencing techniques for the national directors’ and management institutes across Europe. He is the author of one of the leading business books on negotiation and influence techniques in the French-speaking world.
