With the implementation of the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), coming into force in May, having the required knowledge to be compliant with this regulation is of course a must.

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will replace the current Directive and will be directly applicable in all Member States without the need for implementing national legislation. It will apply after 25 May 2018 as it contains some onerous obligations, many of which will take time to prepare for, it will have an immediate impact.

However, beyond attaining the necessary knowledge having recognized qualifications demonstrates a high level of knowledge, competency and skill both for individuals and organisations alike.

EIMF is proud to have partnered with EXIN as an EXIN Accredited Training Provider and Exam Centre, offering preparation courses and examinations to become qualified Privacy & Data Protection Practitioners.

EXIN, founded in 1984 on an initiative of the Ministry of Economic Affairs in the Netherlands, is the largest provider of internationally recognised ICT certification programmes.  In becoming a partner of EXIN the EIMF has gone through a rigorous and demanding accrediting and auditing process.

EIMF has been an established GDPR provider in the region for some time, having delivered numerous courses and workshops over the last two years.  Our programmes for the preparation of these examinations will also prepare participants for all the relevant upcoming legal framework as it is vital that organisations and professionals understand what is required and be ready for when the full implementation becomes mandatory in May.

• EXIN Privacy & Data Protection Foundation Course | 2 days

The foundation certificate for the GDPR Specialist is also a standalone certificate that helps professionals and organisations prepare for the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) by providing the necessary knowhow.  It outlines what organizations can do on the ground to improve data governance, reduce the risk of data loss and lower compliance costs.

• EXIN Privacy & Data Protection Practitioner Course | 3 days

The Practitioner Certificate is an advanced-level certification that validates a professional’s knowledge and understanding of the European privacy (data protection) legislation and will address how the GDPR can be implemented to achieve the required compliancy.

The exam looks at the international relevance of these regulations and tests the individual’s ability to apply this knowledge and understanding in everyday professional practice.

This course builds on the knowledge attained during the Foundation Course.  A prerequisite is that professionals must have prior knowledge to attend the practitioner programme (see above Foundation course, or another similar programme may be considered).

Choice and Flexibility

Professionals may choose from 2 to 5 days of training and attain relevant qualifications depending on their requirements, or merely attain the necessary knowledge to assist them in their everyday work.

Participants can select from the available dates below and attend:

(1) the Foundation Course, or (2) the Practitioner Course (see prerequisite), or (3) Both courses.

5 Day Programme:  Both the above Foundation and the Practitioner Courses

• Those enrolling to both course will enjoy a 20% discount on the above fees (excludes examination fees)
• Those attending both courses and who wish to take the examinations will only be required to take the Practitioner examination
