Course Overview

AML Governance and Financial Crime Risk Oversight for Boards

This programme provides board members and senior decision-makers with a practical understanding of their responsibilities in relation to anti-money laundering (AML), financial crime risk management, and governance oversight.

Participants will explore regulatory expectations, the role of the board in maintaining an effective AML framework, common governance weaknesses identified during regulatory inspections, and practical approaches to exercising effective oversight.

The programme focuses on helping boards understand the questions they should be asking, the information they should expect to receive, and how governance decisions influence the effectiveness of an organisation's AML programme.
