20 Dec EIMF Receives Accreditation as a Private Institution of Higher Education

The European Institute of Management and Finance (EIMF) is pleased to announce that it has been accredited by the Cyprus Agency of Quality Assurance and Accreditation in Higher Education (CYQAA) as a Private Institution of Higher Education. Founded in 2014, EIMF has since been offering an extensive range of specialised training and education courses for professionals, focusing on financial regulation, corporate governance, risk, compliance, ESG and other related fields.

This accreditation allows EIMF to embark on a new journey as it can now develop and deliver academic programmes such as Diplomas, Bachelors and Masters, pending approval by CYQAA for each individual degree.

EIMF’s CEO Marios Siathas said: “EIMF has established itself as a pioneer and leading executive education centre, both in Cyprus and abroad, and now the time has come to take the next step and provide specialised academic programmes to the local and international markets. The high standards of quality EIMF has maintained throughout its lifespan are reflected in the growing number of professionals that have chosen EIMF for their professional development and the numerous collaborations and accreditations set up with various international professional bodies and associations that consistently trust EIMF as a valued partner.”

Dr Adonis Pegasiou, EIMF’s Academic Director, added: “In this new era, EIMF is committed to exceling once again. EIMF has already managed to build a diverse and prestigious network of renowned academics that will add value and help ensure that all academic degrees offered will meet the highest quality standards. Furthermore, the programmes to be offered will address the needs of professionals and young graduates who seek to better equip themselves with in-depth knowledge and a learning experience that will allow them to thrive in their chosen career path.”

Besides offering these academic programmes, EIMF will also focus on taking investigation and research initiatives to contribute innovative and important work in the fields of governance, risk and compliance. The first step in this direction has been achieved with the recent launch of EIMF’s Center for Good Governance, a Research Centre dedicated to promoting fair and ethical behaviour, highlighting the necessity for sustainable growth while striving for better economic, social and environmental performance.

Dr Pegasiou reaffirmed that: “EIMF remains committed to conducting research that will produce valued and insightful academic knowledge with its findings being disseminated through various academic channels. Part of the goal is also to reach out to the local community and broader society, expecting to have a wider and positive impact in the political, financial, social, and cultural spaces.”

In the coming months, EIMF will finalise and submit a series of academic programmes for accreditation and make them available to the public at large.
