EIMF | Challenges in Eurozone’s Integrated Banking Sector
More than a decade after the financial crisis, the Eurozone is still in the process of revising its governance architecture in an attempt to tackle faults of the past and achieve resilience and sustainable growth in Europe. At the same time, emerging challenges in a globalised financial environment also need to be identified and addressed in a convincing manner. A key priority remains the completion of the European banking market that needs to offer a solid governance framework which secures effective banking supervision. After all, a safe and sound banking sector with sustainable business models is indispensable for a well-functioning economy.
Through engaging discussions and presentations, this event will provide valuable insights into the current state of the Eurozone, the European banking sector in particular and the strategies that can be employed to overcome the challenges of integration. The thematic areas covered touch on all relevant stakeholders, including policy-makers, legislators, regulators, supervisory authorities, the banks and the wider society.
