He advises on all aspects of Cypriot and EU competition law and represents clients before the Cypriot Commission for the Protection of Competition and other national and European authorities and courts. His competition law experience includes cases across various industries with recent experience in markets relevant to retail and consumer goods, shipping, marine services and ports, energy and digital services. Polyvios also has experience in a broad range of commercial and corporate disputes including in relation to competition disputes and distribution agreements. Polyvios brings particular expertise from his former position as a European Commission official in Brussels from 2005 to 2010, where he was involved in high-profile antitrust and merger control investigations, predominantly in the energy sector.
