Robert Eder
Robert is an experienced Intellectual Property Legal Counsel with a strong foundation in computer science and legal technology, currently based in Limassol, Cyprus. In his current role, he manages the IP portfolio of a multinational company in the fintech industry, overseeing the prosecution of intellectual property rights and providing strategic legal advice to both internal and external stakeholders. Robert combines legal expertise with technical proficiency, using programming languages to build automation tools that enhance legal workflows. He completed the Computer Science for Lawyers course at Harvard University, where he deepened his understanding of programming logic, algorithms, and the legal implications of technology. Beyond his core legal work, Robert teaches workshops on legaltech and generative AI, helping legal professionals integrate digital tools into their everyday practice. He has worked in Greece and the Netherlands and spent a year in Mannheim, Germany, as an exchange student, demonstrating adaptability in diverse, multicultural environments. In addition to IP law, Robert has professional experience in corporate law, real estate law, M&A, and litigation. He holds an LL.M. in Competition Law and regularly contributes to the legal community through publishing, lecturing, and conference participation.
