22 Mar International Introduction to Securities & Investment by the CISI – your path towards higher qualification
As the first step in the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment (CISI) qualification pathway, the International Introduction to Securities & Investment is a foundation programme providing a comprehensive overview of the financial services industry from a global perspective.
Delivered over the course of 2 days, the qualification tackles key financial concepts and products, with a specific focus on investments. Delegates will thus develop their understanding of markets and assets, derivatives, equities, bonds, investments funds, retirement plans, mortgages, loans, life assurance and protection insurance.
At the same time, it explores the wider economic setting in which the financial services sector operates, illustrating how economic activity is managed and controlled in different national & international systems. In addition, the course provides an introduction to financial services regulation, covering insider trading, market abuse and financial crime as well as highlighting the importance of ethics in financial services.
This qualification is relevant to professionals who are starting their careers in the financial services industry.
As a broad programme, it is also suitable for staff without direct responsibility for making investment decisions, including administration, accounting & finance, IT, HR, customer service, sales & marketing and training.
