07 Jul Open University of Cyprus and the EIMF Join Forces
The Open University of Cyprus (OUC) and the European Institute of Management and Finance (EIMF) signed a Memorandum of Understanding today, Monday 6 July 2026, aimed at jointly developing initiatives for the design, development and delivery of specialised short-duration, high-level training programmes addressed to the general public. The framework of cooperation was signed by the Vice-Rector of the OUC, Professor Konstantinos Leonidou, and the Chief Executive Officer of the EIMF, Mr Marios Siathas.
The Vice-Rector of the Open University of Cyprus, Professor Leonidou, stated: “The cooperation between the OUC and the European Institute of Management and Finance forms part of our strategy to strengthen the University’s outward-facing profile and expand its collaborations with organisations and institutions, with the aim of connecting academic knowledge with the needs of the modern market. Through this Memorandum of Cooperation, we are creating a framework that enhances the acquisition of valuable knowledge and practical skills for our students. I am confident that this partnership will be constructive and productive, contributing to a mutually beneficial cooperation between the OUC and the EIMF.”
The Chief Executive Officer of the EIMF, Mr Siathas, noted: “The signing of this Memorandum with such a distinguished institution as the Open University of Cyprus represents an important partnership for our organisation. We aim for a mutually beneficial cooperation, building a meaningful bridge that will promote knowledge and the acquisition or upgrading of the skills required by the real economy’s workforce, and we shall work systematically towards this goal.”
Also present at the signing of the Memorandum, on behalf of the OUC, were: the Head of the Human Resources Department, Mrs Chrysanthi Danou; the Senior Officer of the Marketing, Communication and Internationalisation Department, Mr Tasos Anastasiou; and the Senior Officer of the Student Experience Department, Mrs Maria Zanti, along with other OUC staff members. On behalf of the EIMF: the Programmes and Business Development Manager, Mr Panayiotis Marinou; the Marketing Manager, Ms Ioanna Vryoni; and the Operations Manager, Ms Christina Siati.
Το Ανοικτό Πανεπιστήμιο Κύπρου και το European Institute of Management and Finance ενώνουν δυνάμεις
Στην υπογραφή Μνημονίου Συνεργασίας προχώρησαν σήμερα, Δευτέρα 6 Ιουλίου 2026, το Ανοικτό Πανεπιστήμιο Κύπρου (ΑΠΚΥ) και το European Institute of Management and Finance (EIMF), με στόχο την από κοινού ανάπτυξη δράσεων σχεδιασμού, ανάπτυξης και υλοποίησης ειδικών επιμορφωτικών προγραμμάτων σύντομης διάρκειας, υψηλού επιπέδου, τα οποία απευθύνονται στο ευρύ κοινό. Το πλαίσιο συνεργασίας υπέγραψαν ο Αντιπρύτανης του ΑΠΚΥ, Καθηγητής κ. Κωνσταντίνος Λεωνίδου και ο Διευθύνων Σύμβουλος του EIMF κ. Μάριος Σιαθάς.
Ο Aντιπρύτανης του Ανοικτού Πανεπιστημίου Κύπρου, Καθηγητής κ. Λεωνίδου δήλωσε ότι: «Η συνεργασία του ΑΠΚΥ με το European Institute of Management and Finance εντάσσεται στη στρατηγική μας για την ενίσχυση της εξωστρέφειας του Πανεπιστημίου και τη διεύρυνση των συνεργασιών του με φορείς και οργανισμούς, με στόχο τη διασύνδεση της ακαδημαϊκής γνώσης με τις ανάγκες της σύγχρονης αγοράς. Μέσα από το Μνημόνιο Συνεργασίας δημιουργούμε ένα πλαίσιο που ενισχύει την απόκτηση πολύτιμων γνώσεων και πρακτικών δεξιοτήτων για τους φοιτητές και τις φοιτήτριές μας. Είμαι βέβαιος ότι η σύμπραξη αυτή θα είναι εποικοδομητική και παραγωγική, συμβάλλοντας στην αμοιβαία επωφελή συνεργασία μεταξύ του ΑΠΚΥ και του EIMF».
Ο Διευθύνων Σύμβουλος του EIMF κύριος Σιαθάς, επεσήμανε ότι:
«Η υπογραφή του Μνημονίου με ένα καταξιωμένο ίδρυμα όπως το Ανοικτό Πανεπιστήμιο Κύπρου αποτελεί σημαντική σύμπραξη για τον Οργανισμό μας. Στοχεύουμε στην αμοιβαία και επωφελή συνεργασία, με τη δημιουργία μιας ουσιαστικής γέφυρας που θα προωθεί τη γνώση και την απόκτηση ή την αναβάθμιση των δεξιοτήτων του ανθρώπινου δυναμικού που χρειάζεται η πραγματική οικονομία και θα εργαστούμε συστηματικά προς αυτή την κατεύθυνση»
Κατά την υπογραφή του Μνημονίου, εκ μέρους του ΑΠΚΥ παρευρέθηκαν επίσης, η Προϊσταμένη της Υπηρεσίας Ανθρώπινου Δυναμικού, κα Χρυσάνθη Δανού, ο Υπεύθυνος Λειτουργός Α’ της Υπηρεσίας Μάρκετινγκ, Επικοινωνίας και Διεθνοποίησης κ. Τάσος Αναστασίου, η Υπεύθυνη Λειτουργός Α’ της Υπηρεσίας Φοιτητικής Εμπειρίας, κα Μαρία Ζαντή, στελέχη του ΑΠΚΥ και εκ μέρους του EIMF ο Υπεύθυνος Ανάπτυξης Προγραμμάτων κ. Παναγιώτης Μαρίνου, η Υπεύθυνη Μάρκετινγκ κ. Ιωάννα Βρυώνη και η Υπεύθυνη Επιχειρησιακών Λειτουργιών κα Χριστίνα Σιάτη.
