19 Jun Presentation by PIMCO | Secular Outlook and Broad Investment Implications
The European Institute of Management and Finance (EIMF) in collaboration with Symmetria F.S. Ltd, organized an event on 18/06/2015 presenting the PIMCO 2015 Secular Outlook and its Broad Investment Implications. The main event speakers were Mr Yiannis Repoulis, CFA, Executive Vice President and Account Manager in PIMCO’s Munich Office, and Mr Paolo Gazzola, CFA, Vice President and Account Manager in PIMCO’s London Office.
Our esteemed guests explained how the Secular Forum has been developed and what PIMCO takes into account when publishing their Secular Outlook. Participants were presented with the latest outcomes and discussed the New Neutral thesis that emerged from the 2014 PIMCO Secular Forum that foresaw a multispeed world of economies converging to modest trend growth trajectories.
Participants were also presented with the outcomes of The Secular Forum in 2015 which concluded that for the next three to five years we will be living in a New Neutral world in which monetary policymakers will set short-term interest rates at levels below, in many cases well below, the rates that prevailed before the global financial crisis.
The event was followed by a Q&A when several aspects of the Secular Outlook were discussed.
