Course Overview
This practical training explores the legal and regulatory landscape of consumer protection and contractual fairness in the EU, with emphasis on modern consumer credit contracts and financial services. Through a practical approach, participants will examine key legal provisions, regulatory expectations, and risks associated with consumer legislative provisions and operational terms. The training integrates recent EU-level developments, including the new Consumer Credit Directive (EU) 2025/2225, and addresses how financial institutions can ensure transparency, fairness, and legal certainty in consumer relationships.
Reference will also be made to the Consumer Protection Law of 2021 (112(I)/2021) of Cyprus, as applicable, highlighting both EU and Cyprus legal approaches.
Designed for legal and compliance professionals, this training empowers participants to navigate contractual pitfalls and develop strategies to mitigate regulatory and litigation risks.
