CySEC Examination Preparation Course| July 2015

Based on CySEC’s Announcement, dated 31/07/2014, the examination period for the certification of persons providing investment services and employed by Cypriot Investment Firms, Credit Institutions, management Companies and Investment Companies of Variable Capital is between 30 September 2014 till the end of August 2015.

Due to the date of the ending of the current examination period approaching, the European Institute of Management and Finance is announcing their last CySEC Exam Preparation Courses, which will take place during July 2015.

Based on the Current Framework, two (2) examinations are defined, which will relate to the legal framework on the capital market: The Basic Examination and The Advanced Examination.

Basic Level Examination – Requires basic knowledge of the legal framework on the capital market and concerns persons who wish to be certified only for the provision of the Investment Services of:

• Reception and transmission of orders in relation to one or more financial instruments
• Execution of orders on behalf of clients

Advanced Level Examination – Requires a very good knowledge of the Cyprus and European legal framework on the capital markets, and concerns persons who wish to be certified for the provision of all Investment Services:

• Reception and transmission of orders in relation to one or more Financial Instruments
• Execution of orders on behalf of clients
• Dealing on own account
• Portfolio Management
• Investment Advice
• Underwriting and/or placing of financial instruments whether on a firm commitment basis or not

The course will be taught by two prominent instructors which are in the public Register of Certified Persons, and each one with practical experience and expertise on the subject to be taught.

Our instructors have prior teaching experience and are renowned professionals, qualified practitioners and specialists.

The course runs under the close supervision of the EIMF General Manager Mr. Marios Siathas and Programmes Manager Mr. Giorgos Stylianou.

Target Audience of the EIMF CySEC Exams Preparation Course

• Existing and prospective executives and supervisors of Banks, Cypriot Investment Firms (CIFs) as well as UCITS and AIF managers
• Existing and prospective employees of Banks, CIFs as well as UCITS and AIF managers responsible for the provision of investment services
• Compliance Officers, Internal Auditors, Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Officers and Risk Managers of Banks, Cypriot Investment Firms (CIFs) as well as UCITS and AIF managers

Preparation Material – All participants shall receive the EIMF booklet with all presentation notes, a CD with all the relevant laws, regulations, directives etc, and 2 sets of preparation questions and answers as a self-study mock exam.
